We fight infection with nanomaterials. We test tissue carriers and antibacterial properties of materials.
- We prepare new types of nanofiber inorganic and hybrid (organic-inorganic) materials with immobilized biomolecules or substances that prevent the multiplication of microorganisms.
- We develop and test nanofiber material that prevents premature tissue adhesion, especially in surgery.
- We prepare and apply layers preventing the spread of microorganisms on various types of materials that can be used in hospitals and other facilities.
The laboratory tests the antibacterial properties of materials. The tests are performed on bacterial strains of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The results are evaluated according to the international standards AATCC Method 147 and AATCC Method 100.
