We synthesize organic substances, prepare nanoparticles and modify nanomaterials for use in medicine.
Our research is focused on:
- Development of sensors for the detection of water contaminants based on cyclodextrin-treated gold nanoparticles.
- Development of new carriers for tissue engineering consisting of oriented nanofibers modified with suitable molecules to increase cell adhesion, proliferation or activity.
- Surface modifications of nanomaterials usable in medicine. Surface treatment of biomaterials against biofilm growth. Surface modification of nanomaterials for cell growth and proliferation.
- Preparation of hybrid nanofibers for heterogeneous catalysis of organic reactions
